We loved everything about our stay at this delightful cottage. From the well-stocked kitchen and luxurious bathroom to the thoughtful amenities left by the owner, such as a bottle of wine and brandy, this place truly felt like a home-away-from-home. The location was perfect for our needs, whether it be exploring the beautiful Derbyshire countryside or conducting genealogical research. The cottage was clean, well-equipped, and we especially appreciated the comprehensive instructions for WiFi and other information. We felt safe and enjoyed the peacefulness of the surroundings. The short walk to Matlock centre was convenient, and we even took a pleasant stroll to the Abraham Heights cable car in Matlock Bath, which saved us from having to use our car.

    Cannot find any fault. 🤷‍♀️

We had an amazing stay at Jewel Cottage! The attention to detail in the cozy and comfortable cottage was excellent. The location was fantastic for exploring the area. We especially loved the wood burning stove in the evenings and the well-equipped kitchen. The hospitality was great with a welcome bottle of wine and little Easter eggs. Despite a few minor drawbacks, such as a steep walk back from town and a narrow driveway, our overall experience was wonderful. We highly recommend Jewel Cottage for a short break and for touring the area.
